How to install a bathtub with shower successfully?

Yes, absolutely that i said, installing a bathtub with shower is not easy like you think, but it’s also not difficult if you follow my guide.

The bathtub is a modern interior equipment that’re used in your bathroom. It offers great comfort and luxury for your bathroom decoration & interior in general. A good bathtub is great corner for your wife taking bath after coming home from work.

Bathtubs come in several types including freestanding bathtubs, acrylic baths, diy bathtub and massage tubs… The bathtubs have been shaped like a large shape with rectangle, oval or uncovered water tank. It can accommodate just one person for bathing or relaxation purposes.

Detailed instructions for installing the bathtub with shower

First, you need to determine the needs of your family to choose the right bathtub size. A medium sized bathtub as mentioned above is the most suitable. Not too long, not too small, not taking up a lot of area as well as affordable price.

Step 1: Select the installation location for the bathtub
You need to calculate the position for bathtub in the bathroom. Commonly seen position is close to the wall so that the space is the most neat. Does not affect the aesthetics as well as affect the use of other sanitary equipment.

Step 2: Prepare the water and drainage pipes
In this step you need to prepare the drainage pipes, overflow pipes and the water pipes leading to the tank along with the electrical system.

Carefully check the installation locations to make sure they are not leaking. Or other problems arise. Specialized adhesives should be used to attach the strongest pipes.

+ Prepare water pipes: these water pipes will have a diameter from Ø 21mm. On the wall or floor for each type of faucet. And put it in the direction from under your feet while in the tub. To avoid sitting or standing, you will bump into the water supply hose.

+ Drain pipe: diameter of the pipe is Ø 50, 3cm higher than the floor surface. Based on the size of each type of bathtub that we want to install.

There should also be a floor drain hole. To prevent water from getting stuck on the floor in case of a leak in any position of the tub.

Note: To prepare the position of the water inlet hose and the floor drain, it must comply with the standard size of each type of faucet and bathtub.

Step 3: Install the tub into position
This is an important step you need the help of many people to get the tub into position. Bathtub usually weigh up to 30kg. But if the system of the Massage bathtub will be heavier because there are more systems of pumps and other facilities. Gentle transport to avoid chipping or damage to the tub.

Step 4: Fix the bathtub at the installation location
Once the tub has been fixed. Proceed to connect the pipe to the water valve inside the tub. Check both the drainage and water retention capacity of the tub. Check for a leak by closing the drain valve inside the tub and then flushing the tub. Monitor the water level to see if there is any change. Also, use silicone glue to attach the bathtub to the bathroom wall and conceal any crevices. To prevent water from overflowing these locations.

Step 5: Install faucet, handle, shower for the bathtub
For modern Massage bath products, they come with a shower system, so you just need to use it very conveniently. If you are a type of bathtub with just a tap, you can add a shower to use. + Install Hot and Cold Water Pipes

The hot and cold water pipes are part of the shower water supply. It is through them that water finally reaches the shower head. The pipes can be made of several types of materials, but if your home is older, they are most likely made of galvanized steel.

+ Install Shower Valve

The shower valve is that part of shower plumbing that you use to control the flow of the water coming from the shower head. Moreover, you can set the temperature of the water by adjusting the shower valve.

+ Shower Cartridge
The shower cartridge is that part of the shower plumbing system that controls temperature/volume and moves back and forth whenever you pull the shower handle. It works to open the cold and hot water inlets. Since you can adjust the temperature of your shower, every time you slide the handle towards the cold water setting, the cartridge opens the cold water inlet more and the hot water inlet less.

+ Install the shower line & showerhead

Remove the plug on the end of the pipe, install the bolt and proceed to install the lotus bulb  and tighten it with a wrench to prevent water leakage, the other end of the pipe is also installed. and proceed to install on the hand shower, see detailed figure
